Quality Assurance / Inspection

At Plastic Designs, Inc. (PDI), quality is more than a final step—it’s built into every stage of our process. From the moment a design concept enters our facility to the moment a finished part leaves our production floor, every detail is measured, tested, and verified to meet the highest standards of precision and performance.

Our team takes pride in maintaining defect-free production and on-time delivery, values that have earned us recognition from major manufacturers such as Mitsubishi, who named PDI a “Zero Defect Supplier.” This commitment to excellence reflects our core belief that quality and reliability are the foundation of strong partnerships and long-term success.
Every molded component we produce undergoes rigorous quality control and inspection using advanced measuring systems, custom check fixtures, and detailed evaluations for fit, alignment, and warpage. We ensure that each part not only meets your specifications but performs flawlessly in real-world applications.

Whether we are producing tight-tolerance injection molded parts, thermal injection molded assemblies, or complex multi-material components, our quality assurance team works closely with engineering and production to prevent defects before they happen. The result is consistent, high-quality parts that exceed expectations and help our customers stay competitive in demanding industries like automotive, industrial, medical, and consumer products.

At PDI, our reputation is built on precision, reliability, and trust because when quality matters, every detail counts.

Check Fixtures

When precision matters most, Plastic Designs, Inc. (PDI) delivers confidence through custom-built check fixtures designed to ensure every molded part meets exact specifications. Our engineering and machining teams create these precision fixtures in-house using state-of-the-art CNC equipment, ensuring accuracy and repeatability throughout the production process.

Each fixture is independently verified for accuracy and used to inspect critical dimensions such as hole alignment, warpage, fit, and overall geometry, measurements that go far beyond what standard tools like calipers or micrometers can achieve.

By integrating check fixtures into our quality assurance process, PDI helps customers maintain tight tolerances, reduce rework, and ensure consistent performance in every plastic component we produce.
